On a bitterly cold morning in January you can almost see the ice forming from the waterfalls mist. I think that Niagara Falls is more spectacular in the winter than the summer months, with all of the ice formations. Plus, no crowds! Bring warm gear if you are going to check it out. I am pretty sure it was below -20 degrees this morning.
